Quote to live by:

While you are proclaiming peace with your lips, be careful to have it even more fully in your heart. - Saint Francis of Assisi

"If we wish to make any progress in the service of God we must begin every day of our life with new eagerness. We must keep ourselves in the presence of God as

much as possible and have no other view or end in all our actions but the divine honor."

Prayer to St. Joseph

Oh St. Joseph whose protection is so great, so strong, so prompt before the Throne of God, I place in you all my interests and desires.

Oh St. Joseph do assist me by your powerful intercession and obtain for me from your Divine Son all spiritual blessings through Jesus Christ, Our Lord; so that having engaged here below your Heavenly power I may offer my Thanksgiving and Homage to the most Loving of Fathers.

Oh St. Joseph, I never weary contemplating you and Jesus asleep in your arms. I dare not approach while He reposes near your heart.

Press Him in my name and kiss His fine Head for me, and ask Him to return the kiss when I draw my dying breath.

St. Joseph, Patron of departing souls, pray for us. Amen

"Obedience unites us so closely to God that in a way transforms us into Him, so that we have no other will but His. If obedience is lacking, even prayer cannot be pleasing to God."
St. Thomas Aquinas

YEAR  FOR  PRIESTS

June 19, 2009  -  June 19, 2010

May Mother Mary continue to protect and guide

her beloved sons through her Immaculate Heart.

PLENARY INDULGENCE FOR THE YEAR OF PRIESTS

Prayer for Priests

Lord Jesus, You have chosen Your priests from among us and sent them out to proclaim Your word and to act in Your name. For so great a gift to Your Church, we give You praise and thanksgiving. We ask You to fill them with the fire of Your love, that their ministry may reveal Your presence in the Church. Since they are earthen vessels, we pray that Your power shine out through their weakness. In their afflictions let them never be crushed; in their doubts never despair; in temptation never be destroyed; in persecution never abandoned.

Inspire them through prayer to live each day the mystery of Your dying and rising. In time of weakness send them Your Spirit, and help them to praise Your heavenly Father and pray for poor sinners. By the same Holy Spirit, put Your word on their lips and Your love in their hearts, to bring good news to the poor and healing to the brokenhearted. And may the gift of Mary, Your mother, to the disciple whom You loved, be Your gift to every priest. Grant that she who formed You in her human image, may form them in Your divine image, by the power of Your Spirit, to the glory of God the Father. Amen.

O Mary conceived without sin pray for use who have recourse to you.
O Mary conceived without sin pray for use who have recourse to you.
O Mary conceived without sin pray for use who have recourse to you.

John 6:51

         Prayer to Stop Abortion

Father in Heaven, we thank You for the gift of life. Grant that all mothers who give birth will welcome their babies with love, but if the mothers feel they are unable to raise their babies, grant that they may be compassionate toward the life You have given and not destroy it before birth. To those children who have been wantonly deprived of earthly life grant whatever happiness to which they are entitled. And to the mothers who have denied them life in this world grant Your merciful grace of repentance and reconciliation with Our Savior, so that they may obtain eternal life. Grant also the grace of conversion to those who perform abortions and anyone associated with abortion.

Mary, Mother of God, intercede for us. Holy Innocents, pray for us. Amen.

Bible Quote:

“If my people, the people whom I call by My name, will humble themselves and pray, if they will seek my face and turn from their sin, then I will hear their prayers from heaven, I will forgive their sin, and I will heal their land,' says the Lord.  'For my eyes are open and my ears are listening to the prayers of my people.”

Why are Horoscopes Bad?

Where in the Bible does it say that horoscopes are bad?

There are a lot of scriptures that warn against practices associated with horoscopes, and improper, potentially dangerous uses of astrology, fortune-telling or other acts.

Here’s just a few:

Isaiah 47:13-14
Leviticus 20:6-8
Deut. 4:19, 17:3,

         18:10
2 Kings. 17:16-20,

               21:3-6
Jeremiah. 8:2,

                19:12
